The West Niagara Agricultural Society is proud to support a growing equestrian community through events, programs, and facilities that welcome riders of all experience levels.

Located at the West Niagara Agricultural Society in Grassie, Ontario, our equestrian facilities host a variety of activities throughout the year, including horse shows, schooling opportunities, clinics, and recreational riding programs. Whether you're a competitor, spectator, volunteer, or newcomer to the equestrian world, you'll find opportunities to connect, learn, and participate.

West Niagara Saddle Club

The West Niagara Saddle Club provides riders with opportunities to develop their skills, connect with fellow equestrians, and participate in organized riding activities throughout the season. The club welcomes riders who share a passion for horses, learning, and community.

Ship-in Schooling

Our Ship-In Schooling events offer riders the opportunity to train and practice in a professional facility without the pressure of competition. These sessions provide valuable experience for both horse and rider while helping build confidence in a new environment.

Niagara's Finest Horse Show showcases talented riders and horses from across the region in a welcoming and competitive atmosphere. Equestrian Facilities

The West Niagara Agricultural Centre & Fairgrounds offers a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities designed to accommodate horse shows, clinics, training events, schooling opportunities, and other equestrian activities.

Richardson Agricultural Hall

Our Richardson Agricultural Hall features:

  • 166' x 125' indoor arena
  • Sand footing option
  • Spectator viewing area
  • Heated and air-conditioned foyer
  • Kitchen and washroom facilities
  • Wash bay access
  • Multiple large roll-up doors for easy access
The arena is designed to support a wide range of equestrian and agricultural events throughout the year.

Outdoor Riding Rings

Our outdoor facilities include:

  • 100' x 200' main riding ring
  • Dedicated warm-up ring
  • Quality footing and drainage
  • Fully fenced competition and training spaces
These rings provide excellent opportunities for schooling, clinics, competitions, and seasonal events.

Barn Facilities

Our fairgrounds include:

  • Two large multipurpose barns
  • Cement floors with rubber mats
  • Hydro and water access
  • Portable stall configurations available
  • Convenient proximity to the riding rings and arena
  • For larger events, portable stalls can be installed to accommodate participating horses

Event Support Amenities

Additional features include:

  • Portable office space for show operations
  • Sound system availability
  • Portable spectator bleachers
  • Large trailer parking areas
  • RV camping with hydro hookups
  • Easy access from Niagara, Hamilton, and surrounding communities
