Niagara South Federation of Agriculture - Media Release

The Niagara Federations of Agriculture, in partnership with West Niagara Agricultural Centre, announced their first Niagara Farm Day.

The education themed event will be held on Saturday, April 21, 10 am to 4 pm

and will be hosted by the West Niagara Agricultural Centre

located at 7402 Mud St., Grassie, Ontario.

There is no admission charge.

Niagara Farm Day organizers hope this event will become an annual opportunity for families

to spend time learning about Niagara agriculture

and its important contribution to our food supply and the local economy.

Visitors to Niagara Farm Day will be able to visit with a number of primary producers

who will each have a display featuring the primary focus of their farm.

This will include dairy, bees, horse, beef, grains & oilseeds, flowers and more.

Plans are also under way to allow visitors to experience a virtual reality tour

of a farm with technology supplied by Farm & Food Care.

As the event draws closer, additional details and additional confirmations of participating commodities  will become available.  In the meantime, organizers invite everyone to “save the date” and plan to attend a fun agricultural themed family event.  A great way to welcome the Spring season.
